ma-sy-co is a headwear brand which was founded by Ukrainian artist and designer Mariia Sylniahina in 2010. Being graduated as an engineer, Mariia has a wide experience in the design and fashion in Kiev.

The brand debuted at fashion week with a collection of crowns made from polymer clay adorned with crystals. Since then a crown as a headpiece has become a signature of the brand. That allowed ma-sy-co to receive good reviews from European representatives of the industry and become a well-known atelier in Kyiv.

The studio develops off-season collections as well as works in collaborations with other brands, celebrities and artist.

Headwear design ma-sy-co has always been inspired by contemporary art, industrial design, architecture, photography and of course nature. Each headpiece is designed to be a timeless accessories that will last and stay relevant forever.

Working in the demi-couture niche, we use high-quality materials and decorative elements. The studio experiments with 3D design and explores the possibilities of modern high-tech materials. The brand also is starting to expand into the niche of virtual fashion.

One of the most important goals of the ma-sy-co is to minimize waste in the production process and reduce the carbon footprint at all stages of work. Therefore, most of our headpieces are made to order by prior agreement.

Since 2014 the brand has been based in Berlin.
